I am always on the look out for kick ass indie bands that would fit our format. If you know of a band that would fit in with the rest of our music, post a link to their website and songs. I'll give them a spin.

#2 hey atomm, does it matter where they are from ?? lol
cause im in a wee little town on the west coast of Canada, and ive got a friend that is heavy into the band scene. his band, Scell, is currently in recording right now, so ive told him that when he is done to send me the songs and i will get them to you some how.
as for a website i am told that http://www.purevolume.com/scell is the only place they have.
ive heard 2 songs and they have a pretty sweet sound. dont know what the finished product will be like but it should be good. -
#3 Coheed and Cambria, Atomm. thought they would be listed as formally Indie. I don't know that all of their last album would fit, but I got some stuff for you to check out. Give me a shout one evening, and I'll run some of it by you.
Should have let you heard it at the LAN, though it didn't cross my mind at the time. -
#4 Hmmm not quite Indie totally but a local station started carrying a syndicated hard rock show called Hard drive radio.
http://www.harddriveradio.com/
And usually in the 2nd hour he plays some really good up-and-comers:
QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE "In My Head"
Guest: SEETHER "Remedy"
DARK NEW DAY "Brother"
DANKO JONES "Lovercall"
FOO FIGHTERS "Best of You"
Guest: INCUBUS "Make A Move"
LIFE OF AGONY "Love to Let You Down"
NO ADDRESS "When I'm Gone (Sadie)"
He has his broadcasts on his website in MP3 for DL, might be a good place to also find new artists. Has links to their sites in the gossip section. He updates his weekly broadcast content every Monday on his site. -
#5 I love Hard Drive. I use to spin it on Saturday nights when I worked the station. He's really got a good thing going on. I may have to start checking it out since I can time shift it. :-) Now I really need an Ipod.
I'll check out some of those bands. I just bought the new Foo Fighters. I haven't made it all the way through either cd, but I like what I am hearing. Look for a few songs to appear on the station.
I started to pick up the Life of Agony CD as well. I've heard about 10 seconds during headbangers ball and liked it. I actually have several albums of their old stuff that I use to play on the station. While reading the song list, I noticed it said something about limited copying and installs to windows system. That turned me off. I will not buy a cd that restricts what I can do with it.
Thanks for the update Duck. This could come in handy..... -
#6 Danko Jones is kind of cool. May not fit the station, but I dig it. -
#7 I'm off to the trenches for new material, wish me luck. -
#8 Not sure if there Indy anymore cuz they are showing up on the Dallas radio stations, but check out: 30 Seconds to Mars - Attack -
#9 Band: Avenged Sevenfold - Song: Bat Country
