Ok, No cheating.... It's from the 80's and I believe it was a one hit wonder....

Name the artist and the song. No UBL or google.

    Here it is....

4, 3, 2, 1, Earth below us, drifting falling, floating weightless, calling calling home...

I will give you a few hints. It is a New Wave song and an ode to someone from a 70's hit by a famous Brit.

Even if you don't remember the artist or name, can you tell me the British singer and song it was an ode to?

    Seriously, no cheating.....

Couldn't tell you the singer or song name although i can hear it in my head atm. Definately a 1 hit wonder.

Was a tribute to David Bowie's "Space Oddity", that I can tell you 🙂

You are correct about that. Actually, it was a tribute to two David Bowie song's about Major Tom..... I knew about that one, but the second was news to me....

I freaking love this song. I'll post a link to full details after a few more comments...

Ok. Try this (again no cheating) classic 80's 1 hit wonder.

    We are, we are,
    we are but your children,
    Finding our way around indecision,

Atomm, now your talking my music.
Your answer is: Major Tom Coming Home by Peter Schilling

Sarge: Icicle Works. Birds fly - Whisper to a scream.
(Was extra easy.. Still have it ripped to MP3..)

    NEXT!

    Damn Duck!

I don't know that second one. Coming Home is correct. That song move's me like no other. I gotta stop doing this. I can't imagine an 80's station would be good for our image..... 😛

This is a pictoral question. Can you name the woman or the band she was in? Pretty easy one.

    Bubba and the beasty knockers??
    Debbie Gibsongump ??
  10. #10
    Nope. Think 80's New Wave.
  11. #11
    Thompson Twins

closer. Does this help at all?
  13. #13
    Kim Wilde?

guess it was more difficult than I thought. I thought the hooters in a plastic bra with duck tape would be a dead giveaway.

    how 'bout some lyrics?

    Life is so strange
    When you don't know
    How can you tell
    Where you're going to?

    Siouxshe and the Banshee's?

That 2nd pic looks like every 80's band I have ever seen. I think Motley Crue has that same pic, hair and all.

    :-)

Not Siouxshe and the Banshees either. Didn't think I would stump you guys with this one 😄

The woman is Dale Bozzio from Missing Persons. She was like a new wave Madonna and was also in Hustler or Penthouse or one of those mags as well. She was known for wearing a plastic bra that had duck tape or electrical tape to cover the nipple area  . Their famous songs were "Destination Unknown" and "No One Walks in L.A."

    Destination Unknown?!?!?!

    Ruby, Ruby, Ruby Soho! 😛

I remember Missing Persons, but I think I was a little too young to remember the magazine spread. :-)

    [Butthead]heh heh heh . . . . he said spread[/Butthead]

Yeah I am dead in the water on these, I don't even know the names...

We can have a special 90's music trivia for Bubba some day.

I'm not sure that I ever saw the magazine spread myself because I would not have been of age to view that sort of material at that time :|

I just remember thinking that Dale Bozzio was "hot" and kinda punk, and the music was "cool" (remember it was the 80's)

Cool and 80's in the same sentence?

Music trivia is kind of fun. We should figure out how to work this into the station..... Of course, it would have to be metal music. :-)
