Solo in the middle was only available on the 8-Track version.... Kind of cool....

Btw, what was Pink Floyd's obsession with Pigs?

    Cool, thanks!

". . .Only available on 8-track"? Damn, they had some good drugs in the 60's . . .WTF would possess them? It's not like they did a lot, or ANY, alternate takes and bonus tracks like has been done in the CD age. It seems totally random. "Hey, let's throw the Gilmour solo back in on the 8-track version!"

I guess they did it to fill out a track before the big Ka-CHUNK! 🙂

    Damn fine solo, wasn't it?

Solo is always cool. Man I love Dave's guitar solos. Why would they NOT put this in the final CD release????

Atomm, Pigs represented corporate greed and pork etc... They used that as a symbol of everything that is wrong with huge coroporations.

The thing that always strikes me funny when groups do that is the fact they they are always part of huge cooperation's themselves and when they get huge paychecks that is okay. 🙂

I bet they also have stocks etc.. in these evil businesses 🙂

I do not care, they are still the best band EVER!!! 😛

Speaking of Pink Floyd, in case you did not know about this; there is a fan made CD set called "Under Construction".
This is all kinds of early takes for ideas for the making of "The Wall"

This is made (put together) by fans for fans and available for free. I have it if anyone wants it. 🙂

Also for any other Floyd fans here I also have a huge 18 CD bootleg set of Pink Floyd's called "A Tree Full Of Secrets". It is early to later stuff, B sides, out takes and various cuts and multiple versions of songs from mono and acoustical only etc.... it also contains interviews and cuts from later post "The Wall" CD's (The Division Bell) as well as solo CD information.

"It is generally considered the definitive Pink Floyd/solo rarities collection"

I have a lot of stuff for Pink Floyd. 🙂

Yea, it's a short song, but it was rather cool.

The coolest thing I have from Pink Floyd is my backstage press pass from the Division Bell tour. Before you get all freaked out, I got it after the press was able to go back stage and talk to them. My boss went and felt bad because I had been busting my ass, so he gave me one of the extras. I treasure it more than any Autograph I ever got.
