The Cramps were always a band that kinda creeped me out (you'll maybe see why if you watch the vids 😀 ). I always enjoyed their bluesy/surf/punk/rockabilly sound however. And Poison Ivy (the guitarist) is/was Hawt! and she can play the guitar like nobody's business.

Lux Interior, the lead singer died today of a heart condition at 60

I love the band´s idea. Lux was surely a very special singer. With 60 he was far too young to die tho even if he must have had a pretty wild life.

Hey. . .I kinda liked this shit! A cross between Roger Corman and Eddie Cochran, with a little John Waters thrown in there for good/bad measure. The singer didn't seem to be really trying from what I can tell, but then quality vocals didn't seem to be the point. It seemed more about the performance than the sound. I dug the "rockabilly on acid" vibe, but just from those 2 clips, I'm wondering of I wouldn't run into the "every song sounds like every other song" issue, were I to listen to more of their stuff.

A lot of their stuff does sound similar. I enjoy it in small doses....
