Well.. just got home from the Saliva show our station sponsored tonight and it was a really great show.. The band sounded great.. just as good live as they sound on their albums.. really energetic and get the crowd going.. good size crowd as well.. Awesome performance.. I'd strongly recommend seeing their show if it comes by.. if your a rocker.. Got to meet Josie, Wayne and Chris on the Bus afterwards to chat a bit and grab a few auto's.. real down to earth group of guys too just makes the show that much cooler! So check 'em out you won't be sorry!

    Shameless promotion time.
What station do you work for?

That is cool. My favorite part of doing radio was getting to meet the bands, especially when they turned out to be cool.

One of the guys in Saliva is from OKC. The last few times through, they have done a big promo for a Body Piercing place. I have a feeling it's a friend. I've heard they were very down to earth too.

I should type up my few rock star experiences sometime. There are a few interesting twists. :-)

heh Shameless promotion 😛 Work for the Big Mighty Global Radio Machine Clearchannel.. of Sioux City.. Years back I accidentally downloaded a virus on one of the station machines shortly after we were acquired and apparently sent a Virus down to Corporate Headquarters in San Antonio shutting down the entire system... heh.. Our Engineer hadn't put Virus protection on yet.. Ah good times..

Meeting the bands is the coolest part.. Though from the concert I gotta have my coat prolly steam cleaned as it reeks of Cigarette smoke now..

Post band experiences that'd be cool! I'm hoping in the near future to arrange some sort of meeting of Art Alexis, Dave Matthews, and U2.. It's all about just asking the Tour manager ahead of time! With our new Event Center our chances of those kind of groups makin a stop by has increased.. Motley Crue is due here.. albeit in October so already set for that one too!
