    The website for the South by Southwest conference has a listing for a couple of torrents where you can download over 900 mp3s of bands that have played it or are playing it. I downloaded both tonight but haven't had a chance to listen yet. Even half the music is bad, that's still a lot of good stuff 🙂 Looks to be a pretty wide variety of genres represented.

    They also have the schedule for the event, registration info, and a whole bunch of other stuff as well. Check it out.

    Listened to a bunch of the smaller dl today at work. Couple things there that might work on the Station.

    These came up with metal under "genre"

    Helmet
    Cephalic Carnage
    Weedeater
    Linea 77
    Witch
    Kalas

    I was going to say that, I have there CD's. Helmet are GREAT!

    Helmut rips! bisquit for smut was their last and worst album, but was still decent.
    If it's the Helmut I know of, early ninties.
    They are no longer together.
    They were ahead of their time.

    I'm going to have to dig them up now.

    I've Got Unsung on the Station..... I think the other song I had at one time is Exactly What You Wanted....

    Sucks they are no longer together.....

    Yeah, I have cassette of Meantime with Unsung on it. Haven't listened to it in years though. Probably because it is on cassette and who listens to those things now-a-days 😄

    I got into the Sony Minidisk thing for awhile. I now have a home player that is never used and my portable that is collecting dust. I also have dozens of MD's that have stuff on them and some blanks still.

    I am unsure what to do with them. You think I could get anything on E-Bay for the set?

    Do you have a portable mini with recording ability?

    I actually wanted one in case I ever needed to do some onsite interviews. MD seems to be the best option for that.

    No sorry man, play only. The recorder model was a bit more money than I had.

    I have a nice small kick ass cassette recorder though. man that thing records good. it is a professional model with phone inputs etc...

    Kalas - Media Screws (in the smaller set) definitely seems like something that would fit the station.
