I'll wait for the message options to fix themselves. . . everything's bare bones for some reason, no full edit option, etc. . . when they're fixed, then I'll post the stuff to make Sarge's head asplode.

#5 Today, for Sarge's haid-asplodin' pleasure. . .Lee Ving of Fear.

BOOM goes the dynamite! 🙂
OK, it got built up and telegraphed a bit because of my posting problems, but I thought it was worth posting.
Here's Lee in his prime, in one of my favorite bad 80's movies, "Get Crazy". Maybe it'll help Sarge put his haid back together. . .

#6 Those were great! Ving playing the Christmas song was a classic. That DJ was Joe Escalante of the Vandals - a great current punk band.
Thanks Doc! If the sinus headache I had yesterday hadn't already assploded my head, this would have surely done it 😀 -

I'm not the punk fan you are, but Lee Ving came to my attention thru his acting. He always played the bad guy, but he seems like a funny guy IRL. . .and he was freaking hilarious in "Get Crazy". I love that movie. It's not out on DVD, not available new in any form, but I bought a VHS tape off E-Bay and burned it to DVD. Actually I had to buy a second tape before I copied it, as the first one had (get this) crappy SOUND! In a movie that had about 30 minutes of live performances, and was centered around music, that was something up with I would not put! -
#8 Get Crazy is one of those movies that you see 30 seconds of it and immediately know when it was made 😀 I'm surprised you were able to find two copies of it. I'd never heard of it.
I couldn't embed this one because YouTube doesn't seem to have it. This is the classic performance on Saturday Night Live from 1981. Belushi got them booked for the show and as they start the 3rd song, cut the mike and fade out because they were afraid that there was going to be a riot on live TV as the audience was going full out. In the audience (and on stage at one point) was Ian MacKay of Minor Threat and later Fugazi as well as members of a couple of other nationally known punk bands.

#10 doh! I didn't even try. I just assumed it only worked for Youtube 😊

We've talked about this one before. . .from an SNL musical performance standpoint, it's quite a cluster-eff. I have no doubt they thought there WAS a riot. 🙂
