Since getting an IPod, I have stretched out a little more than usual. You would be suprised at the few songs I have picked up from ITunes.
Kayne West - Gold Digger. This is a very catchy song. In fact, it was the number 1 Pop song for 2005. I know it's Jamie Fox singing the catch phrases, but it really reminds me of Ray Charles.
Damion "Jr Gong" Marley - Jamrock. I absolutely love this song. In fact, I have contemplating buying a Bob Marley Album because I find myself enjoying the Reggae sound. I'm not gung ho Rasta or anything, but I might dabble.
I also like the fact that my daughter seems to enjoy these two songs. I want her to be exposed to all kinds of music, not just my Heavy Metal stuff.
What else... Hmmmm.... I just started listening to Fear Factory, Static X and Lacuna Coil. I never paid much attention to these bands, but a guy at work let me listen to a few albums worth of tunes and I enjoyed it.
Now for my Metal Head Side.... I am completely hooked on Avenged Sevenfold's City of Evil. I am sure they sound like some death metal band, but the truth is they are just as much Southern California Punk as they are metal. Some of the tunes remind me of Suciadal Tendencies. Other songs sound more metal. They even have a few orchestral arrangements including one that is very "Movie Western" sounding. Good Stuff!

The station is what drew me here, not the games. And the station is still my #1 reason for hanging out. I'm one of those that try to listen all day, until something stupid happens and they bump me and then I can't get back on. As a matter of fact, it's in my start up group on my lap top.
My CD collection is in the 3000's so I'll not list them... I was a junkie for BMG and Columbia house, then we got a HUGE CD warehouse that had a giganto used CD section, I was always buying 4 - 5 - 6 CD's at 4.99 each.
But I truly like 95% of all music.
I have a few staples I can't live on a desert island with out. Pink Floyd, The Rolling Stones, Stevie Ray Vaughn The Who. All in the complete discography sets.
Country.... Dwight Yoakam, Trace Atkins, Johnny. All t he usual suspects. Rap.. let's not go there. - YO - Classical... yes I have, but I hardly listen to.... Ska... New Wave (80's) Punk there all there,
When I was in Boston at work, everyone knew to bring in CD's and I'd rip them for their MP3 players, in return for keeping a copy. I must have 200 or so full CD's of ripped music that I have not ever even looked at in a CD case.
I'm still on the Gamers Radio kick and am liking it allot still (Except Slipknot they still SUCK!)
Right now I have been listening to Whiskeytown a lot. Some good alt country if you have never heard it. All the traditional country themes are there; heartbreak, drinking, partying, and cheating.
My taste in music runs a pretty wide range. From alt country to hip hop to punk to pop to ska to to Indie stuff to reggae. Never have really dug metal all that much and especially hate what constitutes "country music" these days.

I've never put much stock in anything musician's do outside the music. I either like it or I don't. I've always been that way. Hell, back in High School, I loved Public Enemy and they were deffinately racist. It's not about the message, but about the tunes.
