Okay I figured that if you guys liked Lost you also watch 24 so lets get the 24 thread started!
I think it may have âJumped the Sharkâ with this new acting head of CTU's sister being a drug addict. Why the hell does everyone have weird relatives that come into play on the show? How the did he get back into the building without his wallet and ID?
It WILL âJump the Sharkâ if his sister somehow has ties to the terrorists or what is going on.
I don't know of anyone else that watches so I will jump in.

I think the sister is there to add a "mental distraction" to later cause incompentence in is leadership. I really like the older guy that IS the head of CTU now.
My bet on getting back into the building is he had is access card in another pocket or the guard knowing who he is just "buzzed" him in without checking. Nice security for a place that is all about security. Another flaw to be taken advantage of.
I'm betting they put in the "taint the drugs" angle possibly that get her involved or her new "boyfriend" is part of the terrorist organization and is using the sister to get to the acting head of CTU.

It is when a show hits a point that it then goes downhill, that is finally has just gotten bad or stale.
The term was coined from the Happy days episode where Fonzi jumped over a shark on water skies. It is thought that the show went very much downhill from that point on.

I've recorded every episode except one so far this season, but haven't watched any of them. I am going to do a 24 marathon after it is all done.
I like the concept of the show and that the plot has a defined timeline. Too many shows try to stretch beyond where they are good, and I think the defined plot and timeline help to keep this show on track. Whether or not this particular set of characters is still interesting I don't know.
I wish more shows would take on this concept and tell a story in a defined timeframe and not keep trying to stretch it as long as possible. If the networks could accept this, we would have a much better selection of shows to watch, although they may only last for a season or two.

I wil try really hard not to tell you how Jack dies. That would just ruin the show for you.
Yeah. I have a DVR and set it to automatically save all new episodes of Lost, 24, The office, NCIS, and Scrubs. Those are the extent of the TV that I try to actually catch most or all episodes.

Yea I have a Tivo, LOVE it. Okay I have two actually. 😉 In my Series 1 I upgraded the drive in it to around 180 hrs. I will do the same to my Series 2 one once the warranty is over 😉
I have also kept entire seasons on it but I also like to Dl them and slap them on a DVD. That way I have a copy and it frees up Tivo space for other crap 😉
Yeah, NCIS is pretty good. They have some interesting plots and the interaction between the main characters is pretty good. Was really surprised that they actually killed off that one lady at the end of last season/beginning of this one.

LOL!.... I like the interaction with Tony and Ziva. Their combo adds a level that wasn't there before. Not to mention the comedy level on what is actually a serious show.

Like Palidan, I download all these off usenet. I like to get at least 3 or 4 ep's stacked up and watch them in a row. Then I grab just about anything the wife will watch, and the moment she bitches about my gaming time, I say 'Honey, got ya 6 eps of Desperate Housewives'

I don't watch NCIS, but I like Criminal Minds. I try to catch that when I can, but it goes up against Lost a lot and I only have 1 Tivo.... :-)
Yes that is the newer one but they have had HDTV Tivo's. That is my dream box. I have a 65" HDTV so would LOVE that. Just so damn expensive though. Maybe after the divorce is all done with 😉
I love to watch Lost and 24 in real time HDTV but lately I have just watched the Tivo version as I HATE commercials.
CM is also a good show all in all. I also LOVE House (Oh man is that funny) and Bones! Fun shows!
