40 years ago today, wait wait.. Look up!!!
....{Whew} that was close...
okay it was as of yesterday, Oct 5, 2009, but I cannot go back in time now can I?
Ahem.. Anyway.....Monty Pythonâs Flying Circus was first broadcast on the BBC. For four seasons and 45 episodes, and lots of cheese, John Cleese, Terry Gilliam, Eric Idle, Terry Jones, Michael Palin and Graham Chapman created some of the smartest/dumbest humor of their time.
(Of course, we all know it ended tragically on an ill-advised Amazon river cruise in early 1975, when the Amazonian llama population was at a peak. John Cleeseâs heroic warning â âLook out, there are llamas!â â didnât come soon enough to allow the troupe to escape with their lives, and possibly go on and do movies or something.)
Ahh forget it, that was a silly post! I have a craving for Spam now.
