Amtrak trains and service

    Has anyone ever been on amtrak?

    I am planning on vacationing to see Kenny in August and one of the easiest things to do is fly to JFK then take a train down to RI using Amtrak. This would be the cheapest way instead of having to catch two more flights after arriving at JFK airport. (which saves me over $500! 😱 )

    So has anyone experienced this service? If so, is it any good?

    I have used a different leg of that amtrak, it was nice. But my impression is that it is rather expensive, at least for our leg it is. And If your coming here you need to knwo that everything good is UP from JFK... Rhode Island... NH...etc

    Cheapest way is for Kenny to get his arse down to JFK and meet you. Of course, gas may cost more than the train ticket by then 🙁
