What do you think so far? It doesn't seem as good as Band of Brothers.
The action finally picked up the last two episodes, but I'm not sure if I like the change of Characters.
I have them all tivo'd and only watched the first one. I thought it was OK, though it seemed similar to BoB, but with more emphasis of the long drawn out battle scenes. I know I am supposed to dig them, but 20 minutes of machine guns rattling and guys falling and screaming things you can't understand with an explosion every couple of seconds, just doesn't get me off. I would rather see a story in there as well.
That said, this is only from the first episode.
I've got the first episode, but haven't watched it yet. I keep forgetting that I have it 😀

I'm all caught up. Bubba, there is a story there. In fact, it's been more story than action up until the last few episodes.
Good to hear. Somehow thinking back on the first episode I can't think of a plot. Then again, my memory on such things sucks!
btw, the first day back at work after vacation really sucks.
I didn't see any of this over vacation, but I read that it was based on the book "With the Old Breed" by E.B. Sledge. If you haven't read that, you should. It's an incredible first person account of the war in the Pacific.
