AOL layoffs

I just got off the phone with my girlfriend and she read that AOL is going to lay off 700 workers in Northern VA at the begining of December. Nice month to fire people.

I didnt know if Ephil should be worried, or if that is why they moved you to VA? You that hard a worker, That you can do the jobs of 700 people? lol :twisted:

But the problem is not just AOL, ALL Corporations downsize during the late part of the year, attempting to close out the 4th quarter with high numbers. I guess the only place that is save is retail since they always finish out the year strong with the holidays.

Be sure to take some servers when u leave Ephil...

I am told about 4,000 federal employees got notices the day after the election. Smooth eh?

Glad to see ephil not on the chopping block. From personal experience, I truely believe there is to much "fat" at the corporate campus, and some management trimming is a good thing. As long as they dont get the bright idea to trim actual front line staff.
