AVG anti-Virus no longer Free after January 15th

Looks like I'll need a new anti-virus in January. Anybody have one to recommend?

We use the "professional" version at work as well.

I have liked avast. It runs good, have it on our desktops and our mailserver. Much cleaner than Mcafee.

7.1 will be discontinued. Upgrade to 7.5.

Thanks guys. I knew some of you had something other than AVG - we talked about it before. I'll take a look at AVAST.

I'm not finding any thing saying that grisoft is going to discontinue supporting their free version... I see that the switch has to be made to 7.5 as Mikey pointed out. Which I did some time ago.

Otherwise, link where you are finding this information. I'm not even finding anything with my news searches.

Users that are using AVG Free 7.1 will be provided with a specific dialog, within the next few weeks, with the opportunity to choose the right option fulfilling their needs. AVG Free 7.1 version will be discontinued on 15th of Jan 2007. "

It;s good to hear that we have other free options available... but you'll have no trouble gettting 7.5 from the looks of things, Doc.
