Ok, I haven't had a lot of love for BSG for awhile. I didn't like the election of Baltar, I didn't like the fleet stopping at New Caprica. . .although I admit that grew on me, and I enjoyed the episodes where they were working to get off New Caprica. . .but I haven't liked most of the episodes since then. Last weeks episode featuring Starbuck, just struck me as poor and uninteresting. I didn't watch it this week. . .and I'm not missing it.
I'm not gonna pick it apart, or argue that it sucks bla bla bla. . .I'm just disappointed. Damn. I enjoyed the first couple seasons. I hope I don't lose interest in LOST as well.
Yeah I loved season 1 and somewhere about half way through season 2 I got bored with it. It turned into a drama from a cool sci fi
I have a love hate relationship with this show.
I love the general concepts. I like the way they keep it a bit grittier.
I hated boomer being a cylon. I hate the new cylons but could adjust to it if it was not for the way they are so totally human that even they do not know???
Baltair always questioned wither he was one but why didn't he just test himself? He did discover the test that determines it.
But I never understood how can they be so close to human that you cannot tell; yet one protected Baltar when the nuke blast hit??? So they are durable to withstand that but you cannot easily test them?? HUH??
I hated StarBuck being a women. This is not being sexist, it is simply that Apollo and Starbuck had a close guy friendship and bond. They chased girls, not each other. StarBuck's character was really dumbed down. I am not sure I liked her at all. Now they killed her off. Or I assume, I guess she could have punched out but still...
I will continue to watch it, why not, nothing else to watch sometimes, but I will continue to wonder.
Maybe they should find earth and we could then have BG 2080?? 😉
I kind of have the same impression. The whole new Caprica thing was stupid. It was boring, however, it did lead to some interesting story lines after they left.
I'm kind of tired of Baltars constant looney act. It seems to be getting worse.
I liked the episode where they were on the planet trying to decipher the text in the temple.
I also liked the strike episode.
The latest episode was interesting because the new Lawyer character was interesting. Even better, he manipulated Apollo in a really cool way.
Starbuck isn't dead. It's not her destiny to be dead. I figure they will bring her back in a way that makes you wonder if she is a cylon or not.
I still like it, but it's dropped a notch as far as I am concerned.
I still love Lost, but man they are proud of those commercials. That part is getting old, even with a Tivo.....
My new love is Heroes.... :-)
