So here is the situation, I purchased a 32" LCD HDTV today with my tax monies. Currently I just have standard cable, no digital till verizon gets off thier asses and gets to work. So here is my problem, my tv has no coax input...which was fine (I thought) since I run my cable into my home theater anyways. Then I ran it from there into the tv via a Svideo cable and audio cables. Cept now I'm not getting any cable at all to the tv. I get video and audio from the DVD player but not cable....thoughts??

I still use a TV from the 80's. I got nothing, but here's a bump 🙂 -
#3 It's ok I have since figured it out. Something is screwy with my DVD player...but oh well such is life. -

I wonder if you are getting hit with the HDMI DRM we've been bitching about. If your DVD player doesn't have it, you can experience problems.

#5 Nope atomm totally different problem. There is something to be said about trying to use a cheaper alternative for home theatre systems. It's only a $200 model and even though you can go buy it at circuit city today, I wouldn't recommend it.
