Change Congress

Larry Lessig posted a 10 minute video about Changing Congress and about the 3 things that need to change to fix DC and the money that is corrupting our government.

It also talks about his consideration for running for Congress.

I believe that Obama talks about Change and that it is indeed needed, but I have not seen anything in his past record that leads me to believe he is the man for this particular job. Keep in mind, I did not say he is not the man for the Presendicy, but that he is not the man who can ellict the change we need in Washington. We need to fix the problem of money influencing DC before we can really address the issues at hand.

We need someone like Larry Lessig, who gets it, who can understand the hurdles and rally the people to help make that change happen.

I encourage you to watch it, regardless of whether you are into politics or not as this isn't about politics, it's about changing the course of our country and putting the future back into our hands rather than under the influence of money.

Isn't the second rule about GR is that you don't talk about politics? 😛

I think the problem is there is no one person that will make the change happen, but somehow no one can think that way. It's going to take alot of people and a alot of time to make the change. once people understand that most throw up their arms and give up, well we need some of them to persist.

So maybe it won't get done with Obama, Clinton or McCain, but they will all start the change I think.

I also think it will take someone who isn't a career politician to inact that change.

I encourage everyone to at least watch the video in the first URL. It makes a hell of a lot of sense.

I just watched it and signed up at change-congress.org to get notified when they launch.

Very good concept and something that needs to happen. Can he do it? I don't know, but if he starts and we push our Representatives and Senators to listen, maybe something will happen.
