    And my favorite part:

When I first came to your planet and demanded your homes, property and very lives, I didn't know you were already doing so, willingly, with your own government. I can win no tribute from a bankrupted nation populated by feeble flag-waving plebians. In 2008 I shall restore your dignity and make you servants worthy of my rule. This new government shall become a tool of my oppression. Instead of hidden agendas and waffling policies, I offer you direct candor and brutal certainty. I only ask for your tribute, your lives, and your vote.

Sorry, I usually skip any videos. Bandwidth is just too choppy when everyone is home....

Boy Lexx, when I start my own business, I want you for my first customer. You won't complain about anything, no matter how annoying, and how long the problem goes on. If I still lived up north, I'd come over and make the tech-support call for you.

Atomm, I thought the links were funny anyway.

My service is fine now Doc. Its just not that fast and only speeds to 768 are supported. My problem lies at nighttime when 3 to 4 of us are online at the same time.

Everytime Lisa is watching a video on YouTube I know it instantly. They suck 3/4's of my bandwidth right off the top. Thats why I tend to only game after 10pm or later. I have a timer on a switch to kill the whole network except my gaming rig, otherwise my pings hits 300 🙁

Speaking of controlling my network better, is there anyway I can set time limits on my wifi connections. I'd like to put wifi on my kids bedroom computer, but I don't want it to work after bedtime or she'd be up all night. I can't find any options in either of my routers for that, but there has to be some kind of software solution.

Good to know, Lexx. Sorry you can't get FIOS out there. If they don't bitch about Paladin's bandwidth, they won't bitch about anyones!

I'm working on my MST3k collection right now. 26 DVD's for all ten seasons. That's ~114 gigs right there. I get about 1 DVD a day thru Usenet, so if I were DL'ing constantly thru Usenet, I would burn about 130 Gig's a month for that alone. . .and that's DL's that are capped at 45 KPS. I don't DL at that rate all the time obviously, but I think I would be in trouble if they capped me at 40 Gigs.

I bet we'd be surprised to learn how much we really used. I think I'm gonna install that bandwidth monitor to find out.

Good ole Time Warner announced they are testing charging $1 per Gigabyte over 5GB on one plan and over 40GB on the other. Guess who I switched to a few months back? Yep, TW Cable.

My DSL sucked, so I'm in a catch 22 if they decide to roll it out.

I so want to move to a Verizon area......

Link please 🙂 I'd like to install that as well, especially on Lisa's computer. I tell her not to do youtube and 5mins later my ping hits 350+. I need proof 🙂

Lexx, Check your router for QoS settings. I know I can set mine to low, normal and high. If you put your system on high and her's on low, it should help you.
