Cool CGI Film

A long, long time ago, in a galaxy not so far away, I was in 7th Grade. A friend of mine in Math class told me about this great new comic book he bought. It was slightly different than the mainstream stuff I normally read. It was larger and the whole thing was in black print with a full color cover. That same friend went on to talk about how big this comic was going to be. Something about taking the world by storm.

I asked my mom to drive me down to my friendly neighborhood comic book store, so I could pick up a few copies. Being in 7th grade, my fundage didn't allow me to splurge, but even though this comic cost 4 times (I think, it's been a while and I have slept since then) what a normal Marvel issue cost, I was going to pick up a few copies for myself.

I walk in the store and there are 2 copies left. I pick them both up, get in line and wait. While waiting, I start to notice all the normal Marvel and DC comics I liked to read. The guy at the counter is taking up way to much time. I get impatient and it hits me. Why should I buy two copies of this comic when I can get a whole bunch of other issues I am interested in.

I put those two copies back and have kicked myself ever since.....

You see, they happened to be the first printing of the first issue of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

So, whenever I see anything from TMNT, I cringe just a little bit. If you are a fan, then you will be happy to know that there will be a 100% CGI release coming out in 2007.

I'm sure we all have something done something like that. When TMNT came out I was just old enough to not be that interested in comics anymore. Besides, even when I was into comics I was ready about Sgt. Rock and Easy Co., and the other WWII based stories. They were much more interesting to me than superheroes.

Lordy, I had several copies and gave them away. Also, had all the classics of that time, all the punishers. all the ghost riders. I was a 12 yr old with a job, so I had alot fo comic book and baseball card money.

I find this interesting. I still collect comics and to be honest at 30 I am the YOUNGEST person that collect there.

question is, will it be like the corny cartoon or the dark comic book?

I bet it's more corny than dark.....

I still have all of my comics and baseball cards.... I want to get rid of my baseball cards, but I'm keeping my comics... I would even buy more if they weren't so expensive with so many different lines for the same characters.

    HEehnehehehe

Never saw the live action one. That reminds me of one of my favorite simpsons lines (yes I am a HUGE simpsons dork).

It was in one of the clip shows, They were taking "letters from fans". The letter read, either "Is the simpsons a live show" or "have you ever thought of doing a simpsons live show" and they answered something to the effect of "No the simpsons is not live it takes a large crew to make the show... and not to mention it's too hard on the animators hands to drawn each frame live.
