    LOL! Nice and here I thought, oh great, who did what this time?

    I'm stuck at my in-laws due to the Oklahoma Blizzard and yes it was officially a blizzard. They shut down every single major highway in the state yesterday.

    Ditto, Merry Christmas all as well. Thanx to the temp staying just above freezing the .5" of rain down and the same amount back only made driving miserable ;p

    ...Atomm I feel for ya, if I got iced in at my mothers' I'd hoof it home on foot 😉

    I think our official snow total was 14.1 inches the last i seen here in central OK. But that was not the problem, the problem was the 65mph winds associated with it. I seen some drifts today that were 8 foot deep! This is Oklahoma man.... Yeah back to the winds. Under that snow which did not seem to show everywhere was an inch of ice, (More like Oklahoma) and the winds were litterally blowing cars off the road. So even if you were a good driver in this stuff... a 65-70 gust comes up and off you go even if your car is just sitting there still.

    Yea Raze, it sucked, but there is a side of me that wished I still had my Jeep Wrangler because that would have been a blast. :-)

    OOOOhhhhhhhNoooooooo No short wheel base Jeeps for me in the snow - Thank you very much! (TJ, YJ, CJ, ZJ) - been there done that in Maine and New Hampshire.... PASS
    Pucker factor too high for me.

    Traded my YJ for a XJ (Cherokee) which is better but still not stellar in the snow and my SJ (1 ton - Full Sized Jeep Pick up) does fairly well due to it's raw weight. Even as a pick up.

    Wow, I didn't even know the SJ existed.....

    I did have a Liberty that was fun in the snow. Little wider and heavier than the TJ or YJ. Had both....

    Then again, until two days ago, we never had anything quite like what you got back east.....

    1963-1983 Jeep Wagoneer
    1974-1983 Jeep Cherokee/Cherokee Chief
    1984-1991 Jeep Grand Wagoneer
    1963-1973 Jeep Gladiator
    1974-1987 Jeep Honcho/J-Truck
    M-715 Military versions


    I almost had me a M-715 last year..... soooo close.

    Basically it's my J-20 (1-Ton) with military winch - canvas roof (like a CJ) BUT a 24 VDC Electrical system

    I had a Cherokee myself. I thought mine was a 73, must have been 74 then. Anyway it was one of the best vehicles I owned. I used to dream about another SUV type truck until I got my current Ford Explorer EB. 🙂

    Yah some day you may get another REAL truck to replace your mobile.

    ...... but your armor's starting to make even more sense now......

    (Truck = Solid axle, box frame, manual selectable 2, 4hi 4low transfer case, locking differential)
