Ok, if you got this far and you have not seen it. Do not go any further. You have been warned.

So, what do you think about the ending? Did Locke, Eko and Desmond died?

I think Locke and Eko survived. You might wonder how? Locke saw Desmond shut the blast doors. Why would a place like that have blast doors if not to save the people inside should they need to turn stop it from blowing up. Desmond should have survived if my theory is correct.

I am starting to think Desmond's girlfriends father is part of the Hanso Foundation. How else would she know what to look for? And why were they in an artic area? South Pole maybe?

Reading various forums, a few ideas have popped up that I find interesting.

The "being in a snowglobe" comment and Henry saying "God can't see what goes on here". Then, the electromagnetic field generated when they did not push the button. It looked like a white globe when it was eminating.

Could they be in the middle of the South Pole, protected from the elements and being seen by outsiders by a large magnetic field? This might explain how a Polar Bear got there.

HEY! Now I can admit since I am not alone. I was thinking of something like this myself on and off for awhile now. I never mentioned it because it sounds so stupid. I was thinking maybe they were in the artic or someplace unlike it appears, in some type of huge bubble. That would explain the polar bear and the fact that the leader guy told Michele he would never find the place again on a heading of 325 like that.

I think everyone lived. Desmond is an unsure since he was right there in the center of it but who knows. They can play it any way they want at this point. Maybe the baby will suddenly grow up or something weird 😉

I was disappointed they did not answer more but what can you do….

The days and nights don't seem to be indicitive of arctic or antarctic location. . .I suppose they can fudge that if they're going to put something the size of an island in a bubble. . . but I'd go with the 'travelling island' theory first. One of the reasons such a strange assortment of animals and items have been found is because the island moves.

I don't buy that fully. . .I'm not buying into anything at this point. . .but it's an interesting thought.

Moving island is cool. Hell with this show it could be anything really. I have no real opinion just random weird thoughts that pop in my head. 😉

who says it blew up? who's to say the electromagnetic field didn;t reverse on the key switch and the previously blown door didn't just get pushed up into the air.
