If you've ever traveled across country by car, you know what a pain in the a$$ it is.
Got a PM from EasyJesus, appears the 900-1000/day trek went well. NJ to Cali no problems. High speed getting hooked up next week, he will probably not be on for the Feb 04 Tanks but will be on the week after that.
Gone East to West once and West to East once. East to West was 3.5 days in a 15' Ryder moving truck - with a 65 mile per hour governor. We had a good time, but my back will never be the same. Reverse trip was much more interesting as my wife and I drove our XTerra 🙁 with our two dogs and took about a week touring the southwest some along the way. Some amazing country in that area, but again by the end we were ready to be done.
the farthest i ever drove was from dallas to the grand canyon, made it in 15 hours on both sides of the trip, that and i have driven a few times from nashville to okc, each time was about 10.5 hours
Howdy Boys! Long trip but I couldn't be happier to be here in San Diego and enjoying the beautiful weather. I'm having some serious withdrawls from gaming with my system not arriving till thurs or Fri with the moving van and the rest of my furniture but I've filled the time doing "honey do's" and shopping for new crap for the house. Took some cool pics along the way but I'm feeling some pangs of regret that I didn't stop off at the "World of Pigeons" in E. Ohio, the Jesse James Wax Museum and Barrel Factory in Missouri and stop to play Tic tac Toe with a chicken on an Indian reservation in New Mexico. This was my 6th cross country voyage, 3 from Fla to Idaho and 2 from Id to NYC. I had sworn never again but according to my Vet, my 11 1/2 year old Lab would have been a high risk case to fly and I love that dog like my child. I wish I would have known Raze was in Ok C, I drove right thu there and I'm always up for a long night of drinking with a strange men I meet over the internet. See Ya'll Soon
I orginally had reservations to stay in OKC, but the first leg of my trip to Terre Haute, Indiana (800 miles)went faster than expected so I decided to make Albuquerque, NM my next stop. Wish I would have known, I was in no rush, but are you allowed to go out to bars in OKC without a cowboy hat?
YESSSS! THe furniture, entertainment center and my computer arrive Fri @ 8 am, nothing like watching tv on a 19'' while sitting on beach chairs and eating off of tv trays to remind you of your college days. Job interviews commence at 1 pm tomorrow too, woohoo, the fun of it all.

EJ thought you said you had a score. Mule for the cartels or sm=omething like that... Damn my bad, sorry let it out.... Yo! Everyone! Pretend Ej's broke. And I did't F up as usual...
And as far as moving with no job. Dallas here I come!
Best I ever did was 18 hours from OKC to WV after a 12 hour trip home from AL. That was a long trip on 4 hours of sleep. I didn't really know what day it was when it was all over.
And in response to the above: "I put Tenacious D lyrics here, But Blueguy has already done that. So I am changing mine so as to not be unoriginal. Sorry for stealing your thunder Blueguy!! "
No Prob, The more D-Ciples the Merrier. And the proper response to your previous quote is: "That's Telekenisis Kyle" and "How bout the Power, To Move You"

You got it right Duck. I was supposed to be a foreman for a commercial painting company but when I checked the guy out after I got out here, I wasn't comfortable with it. I've been in construction and painting since I was 16 and I've gotten pretty good at being able to tell who pays on time and who keeps on chasing that next check to pay for the last job.
I'm also lucky enough to have a girlfriend with a good job out here already and a little put away for a rainy day but living off of your savings = no savings after too long.
