I wonder if this is subject to a higher court overturning it. I would think this would be something high-level courts would want to overturn quickly, before half the prison population demands to be released. This sets an important precedent if it stands, no doubt about it.
ETA: I don't think prosecutors can appeal rulings, so no overturning.
