So anyway, I'm in Nashville till Wednesday evening. Gotta find something to do tomorrow evening. Open for suggestions from anyone that's previously been here.

    Minor Piddly Whining to follow:
So Anyway, I have just arrived in Nashville for work related training.
    Further sarcastic comment omitted.
Anyway. So I arrive at the airport, and I get my bags without a problem. Then I get to the Hertz rental desk, where I'm suppossed to have a reservation, and sure enough, I have one...but wait for it...

Attendant: sees Oklahoma drivers license, pausing for a moment as it's one of the newer style. She eyes it for a few minutes and then inquires, "¿Sir, are you 23?"
    Drix: "Yes, I am."
Attendant: "I'm sorry sir, but your company's profile states that I cannot Rent a vehicle to you unless you are the age of 25 or older."

...calls to boss and such soon to follow:
Boss: long voicemessage left while I am calling a cab
"I'm sorry, I didn't realize you were 23 years old. <<Sum Up=We'll fix it first thing in the morning>>"

Trying to take it in stride, I'm just glad I brought enough cash with me, and was prepared for this situation. Course my work is going to clear it up in the morning, and I'll get every penny back... but it sure made for an interesting night.

And now to bed with my rear end. With everything going as smoothly as it has, there was bound to be at least one bump. C-ya online Thursday when I get back. Best wishes and 013.

Enjoy your stay in Tennessee. I drove through Nashville once as part of a West Coast to East Coast Odyssey but didn't stop except for some gas nearby. There is supposed to be a pretty hopping music scene in Nashville outside of Country music.

I had a similar thing happen to me when I flew to LA a few years ago. Only they let me have the car for like $10/day extra.

You have to go to Chute Nashville, one of the best honky Tonk bars I've ever been to. Its locatesd 😀 at 2535 Franklin Rd and the number is 615/297-4571. Definitely check it out.!

I bet you didn't know you could rent a car, even if you didn't have a drivers license. ;-)

A guy I worked with took a trip to Florida for Work and didn't realize his license had expired. The "well known" rental wouldn't give him a car, but they did tell him about a place he could get one. It turned out to be a Cadillac SeVille or some big boat type Cady and they only took cash..... hehehe

Wish I could EJ. Today's vehicular arrangements have me with only so much cash between tomorrow and getting back to the airport. They're going to reinburse me. But I'm a bit disappointed. I think I deserve a little for my trouble. having to call a cab each time I want to go somewhere, and paying for it on the money I planned to have some fun with is crap. And yes, I told them so, in a more tactful manner, but still. So help me, they're paying for my meals and every dime now.

Though EJ, not so sure I'd be too hot on it without some company up here. I'm designated driver due to allergies. Adrenaline and or Caffine in large doeses are my drugs of choice.

I'm on the lappy this evening, but if anyone is up for some BF1942, I can play that... That or some starcraft or something. Not enough money to do anything i want, and I'm bored out of my Skull!
