This was my favorite part, a brief interlude in the violence....

HEH! See what being PC has gotten us? Sheesh!

Everyone knows that once the aliens invade, we won't have to worry about radioactive waste. That's sort of like will I eat at McDonalds or Burger King? Who cares, they are both bad for you......

That is an excellent point. This almost seems like the last line of that stupid movie "The Day After Tomorrow'". After the entire world is destroyed and almost everyone is dead, the astronauts in the space station look down and one of them says "I've never seen the air so clean."

WHAT the @$#@! Personally were I up there and saw the world destroyed I would be thinking, "Well guess we aren't getting home." or "Wonder if any of my family survived." not about the stupid air!

I'm thinking the comic thing is tounge-in-cheek humor but I could be wrong.

I gotta agree with Breaky. I don't think the writers were taking themselves too seriously when they wrote it. I don't think anyone could write terrible sh*t like, "I've got a hand full of vertebrae and a head full of mad!" and actually think that it is good. At least I hope not. That is why I love the brief pointless monologue about the poisons of our nuclear society. It is so stupidly out of place, you cannot help but enjoy it.
