Heroes - Short mini-series spin-off?!?! Cool!

    6 episodes. Maybe it will run through May sweeps with Heroes concurrently, or as you say, at the end of the season. Hard to say, but we'll find out. It's good news for Heroes fans, but next season, they better deliver with any big showdowns! The last episode this season wasn't terribly exciting, especially since the episode that ran two weeks before was pretty well done (Hiro's trip to the future).

    I hope they've learned from recent successful adaptations of graphic novels to the big screen - "300", "Sin City" - and they could learn a lot from watching the first season of "Heroes" as well.

    One of the things that draws me to heroes is the judicious use of their powers. You don't get people using their powers every ten seconds.

    On the other hand I agree that the last battle didn't live up to my expectations as far as a climatic ending. Hiro's trip to the future was really the high point of the season. By far the best episode. I hope there are more just like that.

    Hiro's battle with Sylar was more exciting than the finale.....

    Yea, I think Hiro will be a key player for some time. If they take him out of the show, I think it will tank.....

    This mini-series thing is a really cool idea.....

    As for why you like the show Skorch, I read something interesting about the director, Tim Kring. He's never been into comics, so what he does is take the ideas of the comic induced, geeky writers and read it over. If it makes sense to him, then it gets through. It's sort of an everyday man filter. I think that works.....

    Oh and you left out the best part.... One episode will be directed by Kevin Smith!!!!!!

    That certainly does look like a cool addition. I had heard about this a while back and had forgotten about it completely.

    The finale was definitely a let down from the episodes that led up to it. I expect that they will do better this year.

    Speaking of the finale. I actually thought the episode before it was the finale until the end when they showed the next week.....

    What gets me is that the only thing the finale showed was the Peter exploded his brother like a firework. The other radioactive man could (A) let loose his powers without harm to himself and (😎 Peter was a super healer as long as his parts were still fairly attached. Granted it is possible that he could have lost control of his other powers or just wanted to die and so did not focus on the healing power but still... it was left way to open for Peter to come back at the end of next season to rekill Sylar.. or rather help the next group overcome their trial.

    This, of course, was much talked about. The general consensus is that Peter did not necessarily "blow up". As you said in point (A), "Ted the Radioactive Man" did not suffer from the effects of his own radiation. Ted's wife died from it, but he did not.

    Also, Peter's brother, "Nathan the Super-Congressman" could've flew up with him very high and let him go. The writers could say he got away before suffering serious effects from the radiation, so he too could come back.

    Sylar appears to have crawled/been dragged away at the end, so no one apparently died for sure.
