This my friends is what's wrong with this country.

People do not even understand the policies of the candidate they support. I imagine the same thing could be done for supporters of McCain. Either way, it irks me.

Oh yea, I voted today. Woohoo!

Scary huh? I am sure this goes either way with many many more people than you would believe. I would say large portions of our population vote based on a name or a party or some other irrelevant information.

As with everything in our country, people are not taught to think critically anymore. We teach students so they can pass standardized tests, we don't teach them how to take in data, analyse it and then make a best decsion. This is a direct result of that. In large part polical discussions revolve around people repeating snippet they heard on some talk show but never really thinking about what that means or the context around that statement.

I think it started a few days ago, but the dipshit skinheads got caught ;p

I kinda feel sorry for the rest of you. At least I have my properties paid for, well minus the fact that I have to pay hugh monthly property taxes. All the crap made over prime mortgages indeed. Many old folks are losing homes due to outrageous re-assessments.

One thing I'm certainly going to do is keep my kids outta school next Wednesday, probably the wife home too. I'm certain there will be riots somewhere win or lose. I hope the AP, CBS, and LA and NY Times are happy with themselves.

I just can't imagine how voters can allow a liberal supermajority that will have a filibuster/veto proof agenda to redistribute our wealth.

Combine the ignorance of many with the mind blowing amount of misinformation out there, and you have a recipe for disaster.

But then again, for many people, these elections aren't about policy issues anyhow - they are about personality and perceived leadership ability.

It'd probably be as stupid as the 6 years we had the same for the Repubs, where the economy tanked, national debt increased at a rate never seen before and we started 2 wars which we can't pay for. Except it seems the democrats are trying to fix some of those mistakes. Again this is the problem with the two party system, but you don't want any part of that either.

FYI economists will tell you high property taxes are a result of lowered income taxes. My guess on the high property tax you pay is because someone once "cut taxes" and cut your income tax. You still have to pay for the same things so they take the taxes elsewhere. Who is it that thinks we should have another income tax cut (on top of the two from Bush)?

finally, saying or implying that anyones assassination is a good things is not only ignorant but assholish.

I know most - if not all of you don't happen to the survival forums like I do - but a very knowledgeable writer Michael Bane who has studied mas rioting and public hysteria for 30+ years now has made a comment on his web site that was very interesting.

BTW, I am hearing on and off the record that urban law enforcement is gearing up for some ugly nights if The Blessed One manages not to get elected and his stalwart, upright supporters take to the streets. Be aware!

Lock and load you city type folks.

You know, but there is some scary truth to that.

Of course, it goes both ways. He already has more S.S. protecting him than any president.
