I thought at first this was some half-assed attempt at dry humor, but I think this guy wrote this in earnest!

This whole site has an interesting slant. I especially like the Jurassic Park 3 'review' that degenerated into a personal attack on William H. Macy!

I love the communication, the multimedia possibilities, the instant access of info relating to anything. . .but most of all, I love the internet for all it's strangeness.

Make sure your kiddies aren't playing with that Comet Cursor or Flash!

No one can possibly be that stupid and know how to make a forum post - has to be an attempt at humor. I did get a bit of a chuckle out of it - but I also unfortunatly know people who really think like this.


They are the people who call me and say they have a blue screen of death - and when I go to help them its the windows log on screen (serious - I think I even posted about it here awhile back).

OK, I've read more. . .maybe because it wasn't really all that funny I thought they might be for real. I've seen worse shit than this that was. . .

Yes, this was a joke. But one that was still within the bounds of being beleiveable at the time it was written.

*Shrug* As I look at it, I will mention that I was a hacker. And my parents didn't know until just last year. Hell, the very same skills are how I now make my living. At the time I hacked, computer security was a joke. But when one reviews this it reminds me so much of my parents.

For example, Last week, my mother had me show her how to use the DVD player in her bedroom for the 5th time. She actually took notes. Some people in our parent's generation are so tech illiterate it's sad. So this one's fake, but it's not that far off base from something my Mom could/would have written about me if she had had any computer knowledge.

Which makes that post a classic to be sure.
