Ever do one?
I found one I really want to participate in - though they are already funded by a mile.
Hell they funded in the first HOUR and are now at the last day of funding before they close their 30 day funding.

I may do it just to say I did one and was part of a successful Kick Start.
Plus I would like to see the guys be successful.

Just wondering if you have ever done one?

I have looked at a few but I've never actually pulled the trigger and invested.

I felt the KickStarter link I posted was basically "safe" as the guys starting the business have their own separate businesses and have been around in "the circles" for quite some time - and I "know them" as much as you can know and communicate with someone online.
(aprrox 3 years now)

Also it funded day one - hour one of a 30 day kick start.... so it was not like it was a gamble up to teh last minute - I pulled the trigger on day 28 of 30.

Another good thing is that Amazon runs as middle man.
(Though I do not know if Amazon runs as middle man on all KickStarters - this was my Cherry)
You create a user account at KickStarter - link it to an Amazon account (You can create an Amazon account if you don't have one through the KS)

You are not charged anything until the KS meets its goal and then the funds are drawn 1 hour after the end of the KS - allowing you to cancel before the KS ends.

Amazon also sent me several confirmations along the way - making sure I was well informed.

So the company and KickStarter.com never see my bank account information.

(I have more in my head to say but for the life of me I can not bring it to the top... )

I was interested in them, finally pulled the trigger on a safe one and now wait until Jan 2014 for shipment - as a backer to a newly created company.

Was/is "exciting" in a way
