Kryptonite / Gun Vault / Cylindrical lock problems

    Don;t know if you all heard / care. But there is a new know issue with Kryptonite style Cylindrical locks that allow them to be defeated with a simple ball point pen cap.

    Wow thats perty crazy that these asses make a product that can be exploited so easily and sell it as the best, making a killing. What a horrible design. I wonder who the genius that enginnered this is? And even more so the guy that was stuffing a bic pen in the lock! Who's the real genius?

    Thus proving the old addage: The only safe way to store a gun is with another gun pointed at it.

    Seriously mine are all done with padlocks and trigger locks. In a case with triggerlocks, case locked with padlocks. Not the most safe, but whos to know what is with a story like this. I figure one way or another they'll get the guns if they want em. I just try to be sure a kid won't be able to get at em.

    There is a recall on the Master "STYLE" cable lock for guns that you run thru the breech or magazine well.

    With a quick violent tug you can pop the cable out of the base, google cable gun lock recall.
    A slow pressure will keep the lock safe, but a child can 'jerk' the cable out of the defective locks.
