Ok, what did you think of this weeks episode?

I thought it was awesome.... However, I told my wife that I am more confused than I have ever been....

Ok spoilers ahead.... BTW, I'll work on adding the spoilers tags I downloaded. Unfortunately, I have to modify a bunch of files by hand....

Did you see Jacob? Lock saw him for a split second right before he went out the door. I used the Tivo to look at the frame and there is someone there....

Is Ben frigg'n nuts or what?

I think Locke survives the wound.... The island will heal him....

    It's really getting good.....

    NON SPOILERS

It is confirmed. Lost will be on for three more seasons ONLY. 16 episodes per season. This may be a good thing, it will allow the writers to explain everything and wrap it up instead of trying to ride it out for as long as they can to get more money.

    SPOILERS

I was going to start a new LOST thread myself. I did not see anything but they had a weird cut to locks face there for s second and it was hard to tell.

That was a VERY confusing scene. So now we are going into paranormal stuff. it was very cool to finally see where Ben comes from and what his childhood was like. The episode was worth it for that alone. He is one crazy guy though. Scary crazy 😉

I still wonder why he let them capture him way back.

I also think Locke will be healed by the island. Locke is one of my favorite characters. I love Terry O'Quinn, he is in everything. I remember his very thin mustache he had for years. 😉

I was thinking that Locke heals and will probably be saved by that but also that maybe that Russian guy, Demetre, does as well. That would explain why he always seems to be coming back even after dying right in front of everyone. 😉

Even with all the frustration the show can be by not explaining stuff, I will love it. I really love the characters.

If I went frame by frame forward, my Tivo skipped it, but if I went frame by frame backwards, I could catch it.

BTW, Ben's dad was Uncle Rico from Napolean Dynamite... LOL

54439 (the fence code) is the zip code for Hannibal, Wisconsin. Hmmm....

I am proud to say I never seen that movie 😉

I remember that actor from "The Pretender" one of my all time favorite shows. Man they ended that badly....

Was it my imagination, or where there just a crapload of commercials in the season finale?

Spoilers.....so don't read any further if you haven't watched it yet.

Can't believe that Charlie actually died.
    Very strange "flash-forward/flash-back" for Jack.
Are the people that they called rescuers or "the bad guys". I'm guessing that they are bad guys as they need to get a couple more seasons out of the show right?
Overall a very good season finale - Answered some things but left us hanging with others.

Ben: "No, Jack, don't make the call! I know I've lied to you every second that my mouth was open, but you've GOT to believe me this time! What? No, I'm not going to give a single compelling reason, why on Earth would I do that?"

Locke: " I'll shoot you, Jack. I don't want to shoot you, but even more, I don't want to spend five seconds giving you a good reason not make the call. I've known you for a few months, we've lived and worked together and/or in close proximity all that time, but no way in HELL am I going to give you anything approaching a real reason. . .OK, so I'm NOT going to shoot you, but I'm STILL not going to persuade you in a reasonable or compelling manner. Why explore ALL my options?"

Gah. . same old Lost. The flash-forward was a surprise to me. . .As always, we still have no REAL answers, but a lot of shit happened, and it was fun to watch. Charlie basically killed himself. He couldn't close the door from the outside? C'mon, he was AT the door! The water should've stopped rising when it reached the level of the top of the hole, but I didn't want to see those death premonitions much longer anyway, so whatever works. 🙂 Don't get me wrong, it was an "E-ticket" ride and I loved it, but reference the two half-assed quotes above. These here ppl have GOT to start talking to each other.

Hurleys' hippie wagon comes through! Sawyer gets post-homicide depression after killing the con-man who ruined his folks and made him what he is today, and can't even muster up any more nicknames. Is Mikhail FINALLY, CONCLUSIVELY dead, or will he return, like so many slasher movie villains, to torment the Losties again?

    Check back in 2008!!!!!!!!!!!! 😱

The thing about Charlie's death is he believed he had to die so Claire could get off of the island. He choose his fate the second he started writing the list of things that were good in his life. He just stuck with it.

Now the twist about the boat is quite interesting. Even more interesting is the fact that Penny is trying to reach the island.

I believe 2010 is going to be the last season according to the producers. It's already all mapped out.

The thing that gets me is Locke couldn't kill his father and couldn't kill jack, but he could fling a knife into the back of some chick?

Michael has grown. I thought it was ironic that he would appear to Locke.

And whats with the really bad fake mustache and beard on Jack. I mean, come on. They could have done better than that. I was completely caught off guard by the reverse on the back and forth. Great twist.

So, who was in the coffin? Even more, who was so important to make the front page of a paper, yet no one showed up at his funeral?

    I say it was Ben.

Hurley's Use of the Love Van was awesome.... I especially loved how he had the radio blaring as he was coming in. And I actually liked Zeke....

I think we are going to find out that the Dharma people are really the bad guys and the Others, who we found out previously are not the Dharma group, are actually somewhat good, if not so devoted to a single objective, that they can do bad things to protect whatever it is they believe in.

    I'm still digging it.....

It wasn't Micheal, Atomm, it was WAAAAAAALLLTT! Micheal screamed that so many times, how could you forget?!?!?!

    Good episode. I'll keep watching.

    Damn, you are correct sir!!!!

That's right! - who was in the coffin?????? I was wondering that until I figured out that it wasn't the past that we were looking at and then I completely forgot about it. Locke might be another good guess, but I think that it was probably Ben - Locke he would (so far anyhow) have said he was a friend.

It just occurred to me that when he first made the phone call from the bridge, he mentioned something about reading the paper and seeing the news. He had to be calling Kate and if he was, then it had to be Sawyer in the Coffin because she wouldn't have given a ratts ass about Ben.

I could see Sawyer having an empty funeral and Jack saying neither to friend or family. It's also in a bad part of town from the looks of it.

Also, something that does not make sense......

Why did Jack Mention his Father, when the other Other doctor asked if he was drunk. It was Something like, "If i'm drunker than my Father you can Fire me". If his father is dead how is it a flash forward...
  13. #13
I think Jack's outburst at the hospital was just them showing the effects of the drugs and alcohol on him. I don't think that his father was actually alive, he was just losing his grasp on reality.

I doubt that it was Sawyer in the casket, because Kate at least does like him (for now anyhow). I think when she says to Jack when they met at the airport, "He'll notice I'm gone", she was meaning Sawyer and that they are together with poor Jack left to his psychosis. It certainly opens some possibilities though...Is it a current friend who goes bad? Is it a current bad guy? The funeral director guy did say "he" right? That eliminates a lot of people right there 😀

I read that someone went through the frames of the paper shot and it said J... from New York....

The only person I remember from NY was Michael. If it was Locke, wasn't he from the west coast?

On another msg board I read, Michael was also put forth as a coffin-candidate, and it was mentioned that he was from New York. Good catch!

I just watched it tonite after reading a couple of these msgs by mistake yesterday 🙁

I would bet it was michael in the casket. Black side of town and he backstabbed and murdered his way off the island. certainly not a friend to anyone, and walt did appear to locke without him.

So flashback to the future eh? Does this mean jack has to get back to the island before he goes insane. This in a way reminds me of Prison break. One season to escape, the next to get caught again.

Not sure if locke was trying to save them, or just committed murder. Fcol, he could just refuse to leave and hide with the french chick.

Still, I'm with Atomm. Its still a compelling mystery thats going to take another couple of seasons to explain things. It could be worse. They could dump the answers in one episode and drop it like Jericho.
  17. #17
I dunno... If it was Michael, wouldn't Walt have been at the funeral?

Something that just came to mind, what if Michael did get off the island and the first thing he did was contact the Dharma group, who then sent the ship. Wouldn't that mean that Michael actually rescued them?

I'm sorry Paladin, did you say something. 😛 😈

I am glad they are taking this approach. It really makes the show worth watching.
