So, what do you think? Are you still enjoying it as much as you did the first season?

    Here are my thoughts.

I really enjoyed the episode for Mr. Eko. It fit his character and personality perfectly.

I'm kind of tired of Jack.

    More Hurley!

    hehehe
not another one fo these threads... Blabla

No way! Lost rules! I want to see what people think of Season 2.

I want the explanation of how the beachcraft got on the island in the Pacific from Africa. That plane does not have range.

As far as jack goes, I think they are trying to make him more compatable with ana-lucia. I'm getting tired of the Charlie character. They are kinda portraying him as a winy baby. Although i was really SHOCKED :Eeeeek: when locke decked him. There is still a very mysterious side to locke.

I want to see more Locke as well. Another person who has kind of drifted off is Said.

What about the Blackrock? We still don't know the tie-in for it.

Speaking of Charlie, did you notice Locke put the statues in the Vault? He has a plan for the insides..... I just know it....

yeah, i was thinking the same. I think he may be getting brainwashed into the island somehow. Possibly the "film" has subbliminal messages.

    More added lost goodies.
When the countdown went to 0, Locke was able to get the number punched before the last symbol showed. If it had and you can barely tell by the blurry picture. It would have been this.

Oh Geez, you guys are into Lost as well!

One of us! One of us!

Not sure I'm enjoying it as much as I was last season. . .the individual episodes are rarely as satisfying as last year, but I'm beginning to think the overall arc is great. I'll second the Eko episode as one of the best of the season. Jack is getting boring - but the bad guys are always more interesting.

Charlie's looking to be a good, well-meaning guy that was never quite to put it together, and I think they're setting him up to be a victim of the illness that affected the 'others'. The Crazy French Lady warned Sayid about that.

Anyway, I'm into it. Here's a link to a Lost thread on a msg board I frequent.

Raze, are you saying that Combination means death?

Also, don't the symbols refer to the logos?

What did you guys think of Sayid's episode? I liked it, especially the way the CIA guy manipulated him. I think it tells a lot about who he is and why. I think they guy they trapped is an other. What do you think?

Let me put a twist on what I have posted. Another meaning for the symbols in the ticker could mean.
They could mean Resurrection. Here is something I IM'd Atomm at work. See what you think.

Think the others could be \"lost\" souls that were resurrected when the timer reached 0 in the past?

WOW! Wow... Man I am out of words here. I think you guys are WAY over thinking all of this although those pictures were really cool!

Hell that last symbol looked like a rocket when I watched it. You find that comparison on your own?
It has got to be that right? I mean they are even in the same order.

If they start going that weird souls way, that will be the official Jumping of the shark with the show.

Hell I am still curious what the hell is that cloud??? Why did it stop when Mr. Echo faced it?

Also no one should EVER accuse me again of being too geeky 😉

Okay who is going to start a 24 thread???

I seen the first part on the "now hacked" site I listed. I added the resurection stuff myself from the added descriptions.

The smoke. Hmm that is a good one. I like to think of the smoke as "your fears" And he faced his fears. If you noticed the smoke had images from his life and he faced and accepted those things.

Paladin, You do realize that lost is a SciFi show in disguise, right?

In the end, stranger things will happen and as hooked as I am, it will take a lot to make me stop watching.

You know I really didn't. I always thought of it as just a drama but I think I may have to change modes now to "get it"

Sad really ,it was such a good drama!
  16. #16
I think a lot of people were hooked for that exact same reason, but it is a scifi show. It's full of all sorts of strange stuff just waiting to be expolored. :-)
  17. #17
expolored? Is that simular to bipolar?
  18. #18
    Yep. Nope.

    See.....

    About 03/29/06 episode

Okay this is just damn stupid. I love the lock character but this falls under "What the F?"

Why in the HELL would you worry so much about a door coming down and risking getting your legs chopped off by sliding under it when you had a vent to crawl through!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He sent the other guy through it so they were not trapped!!!
    So WHAT THE F????
  20. #20
Maybe he couldn't fit and he didn't want to send the other dude through it. After he got pinned, he changed his mind?

Besides, how else would they reveal the cool hidden map?
  21. #21
Drama. man Drama. Got to get him in a position to appreciate being able to walk again.
  22. #22
He fit before. He is about the same size of the other guy. The map could have been displayed anyway while he was in the room. I understand drama but what a putz!

So why did the doors go down to begin with? The count down timer was not due at that time. What caused it? Things that make you go hmmmmm.

Cool that the "other" guy did not hurt lock. I am curious where this will go.
  23. #23
Speaking of walking. When did he start using the wheelchair? I thought we had already seen how his girlfriend left him in a previous episode.....

annotated pic of map on blast door.

Apparently the doors drop when there's af ood drop. That's when I'm getting on other sites. Can't say that it makes much sense to me that the doors drop for food deliveries. . .
  25. #25
Atomm: She came back to him later.

Doc: There was a woman counting down just before the blast doors shut. Is interesting that is happened durning the food drop. Wonder if when the food drops is when the "monsters" typically appear.

My wife got me started on this show at the end of season one so I am a little late coming to the table. My impression is, this show sucks you in, then jerks you around, BIG TIME. It's fun. Basically, they keep making you think this is somehow all plausible and if you only knew the answers to the mysteries, this would all make sense... except that it really couldn't. I had a hard time suspending disbelief in the first episode (when it was rebroadcast). In flight break-ups are generally not survivable. Jet engines do not continue to run once the electrical and fuel systems are torn apart... it's just all too hard to accept... but, it sucks you in and you go with it. My biggest problem with the show is the way it constantly works at making you think, 'if only I knew the answers, this would all make sense and could fit into our regular old human world'. I don't think this is the case though. I thought the same thing about the Mr. Eko episode... no way that plane flew here on it's own. Then again, if you just sit back and accept that it is sci-fi as Atomm suggested, it is all good. It's not the real world but rather a sci-fi world that closely resembles our own. My general impression is, it's a great show and I really enjoy watching it but it annoys me the way the string you along so much. So many questions with answers only hinted at and no real answers. Ultimately the 'answer' could be, this is essentially the Matrix, or a dream Jack is having on the plane or perhaps we'll never know as the last character gets eaten by a polar bear in season 25. 😀

It also seems the blast doors close down during the food drops. I read that on one of the annotated maps linked from hatchonline.com.
  28. #29
I read in a forum i think on lost-media.com, that a possible reason for for the blastdoors to be dropped is to trap the occupants during the food drops so they do not see them coming. But why do a count down for the blast doors?
  29. #30
Cool find on the map drawn on the wall.

    OK I'm a geek.

Translations and possible meanings. Counter clockwize from top left. Those I could find or figure out.

    ---------------------------------

Sursum Corda repeated 3x. Meaning "lift up (uplift) the heart" or with all the literature reference poem by Emerson.

    "Sursum Corda"
Seek not the Spirit, if it hide,
    Inexorable to thy zeal:
    Baby, do not whine and chide;
    Art thou not also real?
Why should'st thou stoop to poor excuse?
Turn on the Accuser roundly; say,
"Here am I, here will I remain
    Forever to myself soothfast,
Go thou, sweet Heaven, or, at thy pleasure stay."—
Already Heaven with thee its lot has cast,
For it only can absolutely deal.

    --------------------------------------

Aegrescit medendo - The disease worsens with the treatment. The remedy is worse than the disease

    -------------------------------------

mallum consillium quad mutari non potest - incorrect corrected below.
Malum consilium quod mutari non potest - It's a bad plan that can't be changed.

    ------------------------------------

Cogito Ergo Doleo - I think therefore I am depressed

    ------------------------------------

HAHA hey Raze the “okay so I am a geek” thing is nothing to be ashamed of man we are ALL geeks here! I am one of the largest geeks you will ever meet. I can dweeb on stuff like no other. 😉
Dude I am into so many things it is not funny. 😉

Cool info there, now I can start to ponder all of this stuff. They did add a bit more interest for me again.

I have one MAJOR question I have not heard anyone mention yet. Where did the drop shipment come from???? What happens? Are there are planes flying round for years on end just waiting? Please 😉 Dropped from orbit? Laughable 😉

The only thing I can think of that is semi logical is; was it catapulted from another location on the island? If so by whom? The others? Other others? Interesting….

HAHAHAH I used to use this as my sig line at work years ago. I have not thought about it in ages. I should use it again, always loved this one, it describes me to a T. 😉

Tonights the night... I will be glued to my set. This is one of the few shows I like to watch live via HD.
  34. #35
What's interesting is, some of the others "are" part of the Dharma project. And why do they use actors makeup and props when they visit the survivors? I'm betting the supplies were airlifted but had to be dropped from a HIGH altitude for no one to hear the plane. I'd still like to know how the african plane got on the island.
  35. #36
What the heck kind of episode was that????
  36. #37
No kidding.... It's one thing to drop all these clues and another to tell me everything I know is crazy.... I was fine until the very end.... Sheesh.....
