Has anyone seen the movie 300 yet? If so please post your personal review of it here.
As a matter of fact every time you go to a movie, please do so. It helps the rest of us decide what to see.
One side of my split personality wants to respond with:
Totaly fake movie, entirely innacurate portrayal of every single aspect of not only the battle, but the tactics, the movements, the gear, nevermind remotely resembling Spartan culture or beliefs.
The movie was designed to appeal to emotions, not portray anything that actualy happened, a way of life, or even a people.
The people of Sparta would be nearly impossible for modern people to relate to if accurately displayed, so they are displayed in entirely inaccurate ways so the target audience can emotional relate and buy into it.
Just remember it is not even loosely based on reality, it is based on a entirely fictional comic book.

But my other side realizes it's based on the graphic novel (adult comic book) The 300 and is out of this world good looking.
So if you can put aside all the wrong of being historically inaccurate, it's a stellar movie.....
On my list of have to buy when it's available.
Have seen it twice now..... may see it one more time.... wish we had Imax here.... holy crap it would be cool in Imax.
All in all - Go see it. It's worth the $20
I hope I get a chance to see it at the Imax. Sounds cool....
Bazooka and I are heading to the IMax with a few other co-workers on Friday to watch the 4:30 showing. woohoo!!!!!
