My new marker

So, as I told that little birdy, I have been playing a lot of paintball as of late [at least every 2 weeks]... I started out with a good starter marker and thought I should get a new one... And this is it 🙂

Smart Parts Epiphany...

If you are into paintball at all, you may have seen some mixed reviews on this marker... I can tell you that anyone that thinks that this marker is just an Ion is high on something...

Anyway, if anyone is in the OKC area and wants to be a RL target hit me up 🙂

I used to play paintball as a kid but haven't in about 20 years. Marker looks cool and I'm guessing they've figured out how to make them a lot more accurate than the first gen ones that we were using back in the day.

Yeah we moved back to OKC about a year ago. The last time I came by here and I got to play a few games with people, well my machine blew up... We were about to move so I didnt get it fixed till after I got here... Got it fixed and lost the idea that I wanted to play more FPS's again and also get back with some good friends...

As for the marker, it is really nice. Easy to clean, accurate as hell with the Freak Jr barrel and once I get my trigger walking down better, the rate of fire is NICE!!!!

Cool. I used to be into modding CO2 pellet guns, so there's some interest overlap there. There are some really cool gadgets available for paintball guns!

Do you play that fully auto stuff where it's a solid stream of paint or do you play the style where you have to pull the trigger for each shot?

Does the shiny metallic give you away?

Man, that beats the heck out of the crappy rental guns I used in the past.....

All those guys with their fancy pads and masks! Back in my paintball days we wore shorts and a t-shirt, safety goggles and a hat. We had welts and we liked it!

I play in semi-auto [1 trigger pull = 1 shot]... But you learn to "walk" the trigger to make yourself the "full-auto". You do this by double tapping the trigger with your index and middle fingers. [Put your index and middle finger on a table and act like you are walking].. Now you see how if you are fast enough and have a gun that can handle that kind of action, you can fire up to 18 rounds a second. [and yes, it looks like a single stream of paint coming at you 🙂 ]

So, the gun is not full auto [as it is not allowed in tournys], the player is in full auto mode 🙂

The deal with the gun is this... I play both speed ball and woods ball... in speed ball, as you can see in the videos I posted, you can be out there with full neon and it doesn't matter...

In woods ball, you are sneaking around, if they can see my gun, I am already dead 🙂

When I played paintball the course was uphill both ways... in the snow... and we didn't have shoes!!!

And the whelts were bragging rights!!

ephil - regarding your not "having a cool image to use here". . .If you're around awhile, you'll get one made if you're not inclined to make one yourself. There's been a bad run of ppl getting sigs and not hanging around, so giving sigs to new guys is getting to be like a jinx now. . .sorta like talking to a pitcher during a no-hitter. 🙂

(Yeah, I see your post count, but the jinx thing still is in effect 😉 )
