I received a free month offer from Netflix for friends and family. In case anyone here is interested.

I pay just under $20 a month and can have out 3 a month at any given time. Considering how bad I was about returning movies on time, the lack of late fee's alone is saving me money..... :-)

Cool. I think it is a great service unless you really start to use it. If you just view a few each month you will be fine. If you like to get a lot each month for any reason e.g. if you start getting them, sending them right back to get more they add you to a list of “high volume users”. Then you will not get priority over new users and will be on the bottom of the list for new releases etc… They also slow down your process taking longer to send/return. Also after you are with them for awhile they start catering to new subscribers and again, you will not get the most wanted DVD’s until the newer members are done with them.

    Bastards! 😉

My queue is now up over 200. I don't sweat the new release stuff.... Most of it is off the wall stuff, indie/foreign, anime stuff. I actually like the whole queue thing.

HAHAH cool. Some day I will get it myself but so far with FIOS and usenet I get everything I need. 😉

Did I say that out loud????

    :Eeeeek: :lies:

One thing I really enjoy is the rating system. As I rate movie's I like, it shows me suggestions for other movies to watch. I've discovered some really cool movies this way.

Not trying to sell anyone on it. For me, its about convience, no late fee's, no driving to the video store and the ability to discover cool new stuff. I know you can do a lot of this with the Internet, but I'm lazy..... :-)

We like it as well. Good for getting kids shows/movies as well as some for the wife and I. I am running short on movies to put in my queue though. I just don't have the patience to sit there and look for movies for an hour at a time.

Sarge, what I do is go to http://www.videoeta.com/ and look up the new releases. I place all of the one's I'm interested in my Queue. That seems to work fairly well for me.

I also started putting movies in my queue that are still in the theater. When they become available, they automaticly add them.
