I am psyched, but it seems they are moving quick I had to order one from the facotry and it could take up to 10 weeks to get here. I hope I make it that long.

Cool man. I never owned a brand new car but my SUV was only 2 years old when I got it. First truck I owned and first one to have all the bells and whistles. Hell I never had power anything except steering and brakes and in all the years I have been driving this is the first time I actually now have A/C. 😉
It is a good feeling I am sure, congrats... now to pay the damn thing off 😉
Thats awesome to hear Raze. I am psyched, although I will say due to budgetary constraints I didn't get the speaker in the hatch. I beleive it's 2 subs and 6 speakers all infinity.
Indeed, actually had some news on this today. I went and canceled my order. I ordered a Caliber from a different dealer and it'll be here in 2-3 weeks. The caliber is the replacement for the neon, but it's a much different car. I am a LARGE man, and I fit in this car with no problems.
BTW Duck, I ordered my headunit for the new car. It's a Kenwood I think 5232U, it is MP3, WMA. It also has a front input jack, front USB port, and 2 preamp outs. And of course given my new addiction Satelight radio.
That's cool B. I'm starting to research Sat radio. Sick of terrestrial crud we have here. I think the front USB is cool. Load a 2GIG thumb drive and not have to worry about burning Cd's with MP3's all the time.
I love my sirius. I have a 2G thumb I got for my birthday, so I have finally found a use that wasn't transferring mods from work DLs to home for install.
2 GB Thumb? Holy Crap, that would come in handy. I've got a 30 GB USB drive. It has a silly name though, IPod..... :-)
I've been researching a new stereo as well. I think I am going with Alpine. I wasn't even considering Alpine, but a stereo guru at Best Buy pointed out what I think is one of the greatest features of any of the brands.
It only costs $30 to get a Cable to hook up your IPod and it has full controls and song listing info on the screen. Everyone else has a box that you have to mount, find power for and find a place to store it. They were $100, but due to Alpine, the price has been coming down. Still the installation is about $70 at most places, where as a cable is easy to install. :-)
I want Sirius as well. I can't believe I've moved to a major market and music radio is horrible. I actually listen to 3 News stations as the only Music Radio station I like is in Baltimore and I can't pick it up very well since I started driving my wife's car. The scary part is I am actually starting to like NPR... sheesh....

I enjoy NPR, Sirius has three of them. The one I just bought also has an ipod control wire, I think it's $45 though. Saem thing though it'll allow full controll through the head unit. I never much liked Kenwood, always stuck to Pioneer, Sony, Blaupunt, Aiwa. But this head unit looks nice.

NPR is so damn liberal. Other than that it is cool! 😉 I have been downloading their Science Friday shows for years before "podcast" was a popular slogan.
I never spend enough time in my car to justify satellite. I am usually just to/from work, about an hour+/day. I just use my MP3 player or PDA to play songs/MP3 casts or whatever. I use Total Recorder (best program for recording audio through the computer) to record a lot of stuff on my work computer from a radio
I leave on 24/7. I record Coast to Coast with George Noory all night long 😉 Weird stuff. I do not believe most of it, but it is still interesting 😉
I just use a double male mini jack and run my mp3 player headphone out thru the aux in on my JVC, sure it doesn't show the song title on the head unit - but thats why the mp3 has a screen. Just clip that bad boy to the dash mat above the wheel and its closer than the radio anyhow.
My $5 mp3 player hook up>you all 😛
...and nice choice on the ride, if its your style anyhow (I don't like em). I work for a Dodge dealer in the shop - have only seen them in here for normal maintance - thats it!

Cool, I'll be over this weekend to put the first ding in it. . . what? C'mon, if I don't, you're gonna be parking way down at the end of the parking lot all winter long 😱

Yah, it the car. Last new one I picked up I got one of those too... oh, it could be worse tho. I had to pickup my newborn daughter the same day, hehehe.
