I hope everyone is having a safe first of the year. Here in Oklahoma we've had sustained winds over 30mph and gusts over 60mph. Here at my house the visibility due to dust in the air was about 1.5 miles.
Then there is this other problem, grass fires. We've had our fair share the past few weeks. Today we had a high in the upper 70's and a relative humidity under 10%.
The fire are so bad and in number the local news crews are tracking them with the local weather radar. Luckally there haven't been any fires near my home at this time.
These fires have been so bad that CNN has devoted the past few hours to live coverage of these fires.
