i used to play with those green army guys i got all hand me down toys so i remember lincoln logs and the old big legos , i remember getting those green army men with the plastic parachute, used to setem on fire and throwem off the roof , was cool looking for me back then but i used to be a firebug so anything on fire interested me , almost set the house and the shed on fire twice , ah the great accomplishments of being 7 :-p

Man I had that EXACT same set of soldiers! It came with the "Guns of Navarone" mountain set. It was really cool. It had bunkers, gun emplacements, an elevator, vehicles and a whole set of german soldiers too. There was a pair of soldiers where one guy carried the other guy over his shoulders.
I had japanese soldiers as well and various vehicles. The only problem with having figures from different bags/manufacturers is that sometimes they weren't the same scale or era. You'd have a 1-inch tall WWII soldier standing next to a 2-inch tall modern era solider. But I'd put them all in the same battle anyways. It'd take me a full day to set the battle up, all for about 5 minutes of actual "hostilities". 🔫
