    Patrick Swayze has terminal pancreatic cancer. I'm starting to feel like the freakin' angel of death here with all these posts, but they're notable ppl. Just to be different, I was going to post this in Upcoming Events, but decided it wasn't all that funny. However, I still reserve the right to make jokes in Gary Gygax's death thread.

    With the passing of Jeff Healey this week, are we going to start speaking of "the curse of Road House"? Unfortunately, unlike his character Dalton in said movie, I'm afraid Swayze is going to find that pain does indeed hurt.

    That really sucks. Roadhouse is one of those really bad movies that you have to watch when it comes on TV.

    I'd forgotten the Patrick Swazey Christmas song from MST3K. So many good songs in that show...

    Funny you should say it that way. I've seen a few other ppl say exactly the same thing today. I can't say that I disagree - I think it's one of those "Guy Movies". Much like "Chick Flicks" are to women, Guy Movies are cheesy, but strangely compelling to men.

    I should point out there is some room for hope. While SEVERAL sources have reported this story, the Swayze's are denying this. It's also being reported that he was in the hospital for some GI surgery. We'll see.

    See, I loved Next of Kin from that same year..... Nothing like a Hillbilly Blood bath to entertain.....

    I also happen to be a big fan of Red Dawn and I loved The Outsiders as a young teenager....

    I've watched Red Dawn twice since Christmas, just because I was flipping channels and it was on.


    Well, it's probably not five weeks, but if someone picked him in their Death Pool this year, I think they're gonna do well.
