Perseid Meteor shower this weekend

    If you have the time and the inclination, you might want to see this. I saw it once, by accident, and I count it amongst the coolest things I've seen. Conditions should be good, depending on the weather. The moon won't interfere this year (a big factor). A bright moon washes out the sky.

    Was able to see a few good ones before turning in for the night.

    I went to look around midnight but of course it had clouded up and I couldn't see anything 🙁 I have seen them in the past though and it's pretty cool for sure.

    Looks like only the more westerly of us will be able to see this one. That's too bad as I'll be somewhere with very little light pollution that night.

    Whoops. I thought at least our Texas members would have a shot at this. Looks like Hyman is the only eligible viewer. 🙁
