On my other forum, we started a thread that ran forever. Pick a movie and rate it. We used bats 🙂 We also rated DVD TV show sets, like Deadwood, 24 S1, etc. Its really helpful to get opinions of what your friends think are good or not.
Paladin started those cool threads for diff movies and such, so this should be useful.

Jackass 2.... 2 bats. Just wasn't nearly as good as Jackass.. wait for the dvd rental.

Yea my original idea died due to low input. Trying to rate stuff gets too little input to be useful.
We have 5 championships but I guess we are lame. Even though we are losing this year, we are not playing that bad except that one game. All the games have been a one score difference. Damn turnovers 😉
OK, Superman Returns gets 4 skulls because Kevin Spacey is the Lexx Luthor that was always meant to be. Cold and ruthless, not the slightest bit of hesitation in killing BILLIONS of people.
And Match Point gets 5 skulls because I am soooooo in love with Scarlett Johanssen. It's a Woody Allen film, however he is not in it. If he was in it there was no way I could have watched it. But it's a excellent story about a young man's desperation to not lose what he has come into.
And I have no idea how to make little GRB skulls... 🙁

I have never even heard of it... And with general experience the movies that they film out here usually dont get very many skulls... Take for example a film that you can catch on the cable channels occasionally. I really don't remember the name, but it's about a boy and his show bulll. It's a real winner... not.

When posting, click the "show all" in the clickable smilies list. Down at the bottom should be a skull. You could also type the word skull with a : before and after.
True.. true, it may get a 💀 <==:skull : (for sindy) just from the awkward leg man, and the killing/nightgown scene.. but did they really ahve to show 'all' of the scenery in west texas.. I know it was suppoed to be a scenic drive but the hair man the hair....

Great movie. I saw it at the Rex theater in PGH when it was released.
One thing I've noticed about the SCI_FI version. . .when Good Ashe & Bad Ashe are fighting after the windmill scene, Sci-Fi edited out his name. When the bad guy was tauntnig him, "Your Good Ashe, I'm Bad Ashe.", the sound dropped for the name ASHE.
Makes me think they either have the mentally challenged doing the editing of the movies, or they use cheesy sound-recognition software. Either way, they apparently think he's saying "ass".

I don't mean to get this thread off topic, but, that is exactly why I don't watch the Sci-fi channel much. I have always thought that it needed to be a cable channel in the sense of HBO. It really annoys me to watch the good movies that they butcher with editing on that channel. And the shows that they could make without the boundaries of being a network channel would be totally awesome. I mean (this is for Lexx) just imagine what they could have done with Lexx had they not had to adhere to all the censorship issues. I rarely watch TV as it is and when I do I generally just watch the movie channels because I hate the way they have to tone down so much of what's going on, whether it's the sexual content or the violence. OK, i'll get back to work... 😆 😀
Yeah, I'd have to agree. I thought it would pickup since they made Sci-Fi a premium channel in many areas. To get it here now I'd have to pay for digital and 5 more a month. I prefer usenet with 0 commercials tho, but its a pain in the ass to keep up with sometimes.
I hated Lexx when I first noticed it.. screwy chars in screwy situtions. When Lika came out of that ceiling pod I took more notice and watched the first 2hr show. There was a surreal nature to the show that I've never seen anywhere else. A char standing on a balcony a mile up, yet the interaction with the chars on the ground were like just feet apart.
Alien vs Predator - 💀 💀 💀 ☠️ It was better than I thought, held off watching it for a long time. effects were great, storyline stupid, but the women were athletic 🙂
Sci fi needs to do what Comedy Central and Cartoon Network have done where they begin more "adult" programming later at night. Army of Darkness was on last night from 11:00-1:00 - there's no real need to censor at that time of day. Although, with DVR's it doesn't matter what time something is on....
I never watch normal movies on a channel that sticks commercials in it., that is just lame! I am into home theater so to me that is just like drinking Budweiser, YUK!!
Hell I don't even like watching them on HBO etc.. I'd rather play the DVD.
If it is not in surround 16:9 forget it 😉

A wacked out flick that had me feeling like I was hyped up at the end of it.. hard hitting all the way and definitely eventful.. nothing for a tame day but something to bring a bit of a spark into it.

I have that, just have not watched it yet. I like any good action movie usually. I will move this up my watch list.
An outrageous shoot-em-up, enough story and twists to keep things interesting. Cool action sequences. . .just don't get overly attached to any of the characters, as many come to a bad end.
The way color is displayed and used is awesome, the man knows how to make a movie into a story and get you involved. The movie is about the action and glory. Blood and guts and a bit of craziness..

I finally watched this on DVD a few weeks ago. It was not bad. It was however very weird. it was not as good as I thought it would be though. It was directed very off center. It was not as action packed as I was expecting overall.
The end was just so..
