So, What Do You Think?

    I just threw this up on the radio station. It is just the first few seconds of the song. Does it sound professional? I used my TS mic, but I thought it turned out pretty good. BTW, Pulse of the Maggots is harder to say cleanly, than I thought it would be. :-)

    Yeah, I would never have guessed it was you as it was you had you not posted this. That's not intended to be an insult, just it was an "announcer" voice that I've never heard from you.

    Sounds cool.

    Well, the first part and last part aren't me. You knew that, right? 😛

    I'm just in the middle. Actually, I spent 3 years on air (6 working there) as a DJ at the local Radio station. I'm a little rusty, but my vocal chords changed quite a bit in that time. If I think about it, I can smooth my voice out a bit, without sounding too over the top. I'm hoping that once I get my studio equipment running, I will sound even better. I'll have all those audio compressors and stuff. :-)

    I was planning on doing a few more songs this way, but I wanted some feedback first.

    Pretty cool man. I know what you mean about the voice. I have a few shows here and there on tape and I sound so damn different my friends swear it wasn't me on air.

    You did well on your part, its just the inconsistant voice that bothers me with 2 announcers. If you do the entire spot, it'd rock. 🙂

    Gotta say Atomm that I didn't even notice that there were two different voices there until you pointed it out. Still think it sounds professional to my own amateur ears. 😀
