We had some bad storms come through the area yesterday. All we ended up with was a lot of rain, but the radio and TV were handing out tornado warnings. There were several areas where air was moving quickly in opposite directions, which, if the news is to be believed, are the conditions necessary to create tornadoes. I also found out we have a siren and loudspeaker within earshot that warns us if a tornado warning is in effect.
I stood on the balcony and watched the storm. I could see the clouds moving in opposite directions, which was interesting to observe. I saw a columnar-looking cloud I kept my eyes on for a few minutes. It was about the size and shape that I might expect a tornado to take - surprisingly tall and narrow for a cloud - but I saw nothing to indicate it was anything but a cloud.
After the tornado excitement died down, I found out we had water running down in the kitchen. At least this is one thing I can't blame on my noisy asshole neighbors upstairs. The roof was leaking. The folks upstairs got a little, we got a bit more, and the lady on the ground floor got the worst of it. Some ran down between the walls, and when it hit the bottom, it had nowhere else to go. It's pretty well dried up in our place now, but who knows what it's doing behind the walls. Hope mold doesn't take hold.
Hey, speaking of my asshole upstairs neighbors, THEY'RE MOVING TOMORROW! 🎉
Yup, they're upstairs now, blasting their TV, moving stuff around, stomping around, dropping shit on hardwood floors - which is amazing, because we don't have hardwood floors. Hopefully, they're making preparations to move, and this isn't just another Sunday night.
