Apparently I have "hyper extended' my right elbow.
Tennis sucks, I managed to not support my elbow from mousing unsupported.
WTF
Doctor said inflammation will go down on it's own if I keep my arm supported on a work surface while at my PC. I have a huge job I'm cading and programming for, and apparently what works for me, is a big no-no ergonomically.
This is not the same a Bubbas Porn wrist injury I am happy to report.
Back to your normally scheduled Friday.
Sucks man. They give you something to help with the inflamation? Good luck working that out.
I have my mouse set up for left hand use at work and right hand at home because my right wrist was killing me from working all day and then gaming half the night. Since I made the switch about two years ago, it has been significantly better. You might try the same for web browsing and other mousing activities that don't require that full on coordination that you have with your good hand. Although I am left handed I cannot for the life of me game with a mouse in that hand. The simple point and click stuff for work seems to be ok though. I also have ergo keyboards and chairs and that seems to help a lot. My desk at work is decidedly not ergonomic, but it seems to be ok for now.
No I've got to get this done for the customer.... That's why I'm here screwing off on the web site and not working on the prints...LOL
I have one of the corner work stations at home, lap top on left wing, monitor and PC in center and 2nd lap top on right side.
Plus 2nd and 3rd desks on left and right wings. I just moved right lap top to the right desk with the fax and home pc (wife and kid use pc) so I can keep my arm supported on the work station.
Back to work. Lots of Advil for the swelling.
The porn injury was not a wrist, it was an elbow. I REALLY get into it. So what Sarge is trying to tell us, he's a switch hitter and would be far more effiecient at porn surfing than the rest of us. Duck, I didn't realize your were a CADder. Speaking of non-egronomic, you should see my new work space... it's ugly but works well for drawing maps.
WOW! I can't believe I missed this thread... Oh the fun we could have....
Sorry to hear about that Duck.
Sarge, that is a really good idea. I've had some problems with my wrist from using a computer all day as well. What mouse do you use for work?
I think my mouse at work is just a microsoft optical mouse. Nothing special, but it can be used by either hand. I have an MX510 at home, but that can only be used right handed.
