The Lost Room

Anyone watch The Lost Room? Sci-fi channel mini series. There were three 2 hour episodes. I only watch the first so far as I Downloaded them.

One cool thing is I was shocked at the very first opening scene. The show was filmed and based here in Pittsburgh. I did not know that at first 😉

Another cool thing was there was an address on the back of a business card that was my zip code! 😉
That house in the show is not that far from my house. Just kind of cool... 😉

The show itself is not bad so far. Actually much better then I thought it was going to be.

Lots of spoilers... I warned you.... Do not read if you will watch it.

It is basically about a collection of objects that each have a power. There is a bus ticket that when the user touches someone with it, it transports that person to a spot in New Mexico 😉 A nail file that knocks people out. A pen that shocks people, even to death. Some objects are simple and others more useful. Some even have powers that are unknown as yet and others that, when combined, add new powers.

One of the most powerful objects is a key that opens any door. When any door is opened with it instead of opening into the normal room it opens into a "Lost Room" that is a hotel room. Once in the room you can just think of a location then open the hotel room door into that location. So it transports you to where ever there is a door. There seems to be a coorelation with all the objects and this room, like they each have a place in the room, or came from it. It has other mystery qualities like when the door is opened, things put into the room, and then re-opened, the things disappear. However actual "Objects" put there place themselves in certain spots. Kind of cool.


The main show so far has been people wanting the objects, killing to collect them. there seems to be an orginization, that does not appear to be evil so far, that is also collecting them.

It sounds lame and I thought it was going to be but so far it is done in a way that has not been the normal stupid Sci-Fi show quality.

It is done much better than that so far.

I skipped the spoilers. I have all 3 on the Tivo, but haven't had time to watch them.

That part about the zip is way cool.

We watched it. I liked it a lot. It will be interesting to see if they turn it into a Series.....

I liked the mystery aspect of it, because of that I was not happy at all with the ending. They just sort of crapped out there. It was just not good.

The rest of it was very cool and more intriguing than I thought it was going to be. Hey it takes place in the Burgh so 😉

It's a good mini-series, but I agree with Paladin. They show went very strong until the very end. It's like they backed off to leave it open for further episodes. I even made the comment to my wife that it was kind of weak.

Still, it's worth seeing.
