The Presidential Candidates and Science

    Not necessarily looking to start a debate, but Scientific American has asked the two candidates where they stand on 14 science related issues. The answers are somewhat vague and littered with talking points, but it is an interesting insight into where they each stand. I did notice that evolution vs. creationism was not included.

    That's because that isn't necessarily a "VS" question. I've said many times, God does not micromanage the universe. Though I don't think I've specifically said it here before, and I doubt I was the first to say so. Just because there are holes, and holes with reason (exactly what reason can be debated), in the evolution of man, does not mean that it isn't the going rule in a huge number of cases. And it doesn't discount the intelligence we see in the systems (Evolution/adaptation being one of those) and cycles in the universe around us, the code in DNA, or the fact that a "Big Bang" itself had to be initiated by something.
