Still I am happy you replied, cause it gives me the possibiliy to go a lil deeper and dive into the materia which lures behind the surface of the plane phantasy film.
Born in Germany with the most radical facist history there is to mankind, I think I can imagine to maybe 10% how it must have been to live in those times. (Mainly my thanks go to Anne Frank - and her savors - whose famous autobiographical letters - the diary of Anne Frank - I read when I was 15 !!!)
Now, living in Spain*, which is one of the countries that had the bad luck to experience a "Civil War" like u over there, and a dictatorship - I hope u or ur children never have to experience - I feeeel different when things like that r mentioned in random phantasy films or per se. And things r getting filled up with a different meanings all of a sudden. They enter and reach probalbly deeper layers of the conscience and sometimes they can touch the subconscience (which certainly aplies to my case).
(*Spanish and Mexican intellectuals were and r still close knitted to some extent. Guillermo is mexican - I am sure that u know Bubba, but I mention it for others.)
