What's the opposite of "offshoring"? Beaching?

Interesting article on US companies moving their manufacturing out of China and back to the States. For quite a while now we've tried to find local/regional products to buy as opposed to things made oversees. It's good to hear that it may be more and more practical as time goes on.

I've started wondering at what point does off shore manufactuering become a threat to US security?

Would that be the point that the US gov encourages companies to bring it back home? Could you imagine Fighter Jet's being made in China? Well all of out network equipment, computers, smart phones, etc are and cyber attacks can be a powerful way to get an advantage over your enemy.
