Apparently this week is just full of double dumb asses.
A 22-year-old gamer has spent $26,500 on an island that exists only in a RPG. The Australian gamer Deathifier, (AKA Zachurm Emegen) bought the island in an online auction.
The lucky winner Zachurm "Deathifier" Emegen now known as double dumb ass by all his friends can now lay taxes on those who live or pass his island and earn back some money.
This virtual "Treasure Island" spans 25 electronic square kilometers and exists within the game Project Entropia.
Entropia allows gamers to buy and sell virtual items using real cash.
This year economists calculated that these MMORPGs have a gross economic impact equivalent to the GDP of the African nation of Namibia.
