    Red Sox vs the Rays, 8:07 Eastern
    In the ALCS game 5, the Sox came back from a 7 run deficit in the 7th inning and have forced a 6th game. Can they force a 7th?


    Saturday Night Live 11:30 Eastern
    SNL has been better this season, not least of which because of the upcoming election, and all the fodder it offers. Tonight, Sarah Palin will be on the show. If you miss it, I'm sure it will be all over Youtube.

    I had a flashback to 1992 when the home plate umpire came out of the game. That was one of the umpteen weird things that happened during game 7 of the Pirates Braves NLCS. From Wikipedia:


    A critical replacement occurred in the third inning when home plate umpire John McSherry left the game with chest pains and was replaced by left-field umpire Randy Marsh. Marsh called a tighter strike zone, particularly when Atlanta rallied in the ninth and Stan Belinda threw a number of close pitches that walked Damon Berryhill.


    Glad to see things worked out better for the Sox. Now on to game 7.

    Ah well hell. . . It's my fault. I was toying with the idea of picking them for my AL team to follow. I SO wanted the Rays to lose. They tried to short-change the Bucs at the deadline in a deal for Jason Bay. They had umpteen million great prospects, and they wouldn't part with even ONE blue-chipper, not even one at a position where they have a logjam.

    Gotta give value to get value, but they're going to the Series without having made a deadline deal, so who's laughing now?

    I will be the first to admit I don't watch or follow baseball anymore, but "Bucs"?? I am pretty sure they are a football team

    You really need to read this one to your self in order for it to work.

    So it's trick or treat, a cute young boy rings the door bell of an old woman
    The woman opens the door and proceeds about how cute the kid is.
    Trying to engage the kid in conversation the old woman feebly asks
    "Hey there feller, your a pirate... where are your buccaneers?" "
    the boy quickly replies "Under my fucking hat, Maam!"
